Alfredson nominerad till Bafta-pris

"Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy" en av storfavoriterna till brittiskt filmpris

Tomas Alfredson är nominerad i regiklassen när det brittiska filmpriset ska delas ut i februari.

Tomas Alfredson kan vinna regipriset för sin film "Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy" när det brittiska filmpriset Bafta delas ut i februari.

Även hans fotograf Hoyte van Hoytema har vinstchans.

Den 12 februari hålls den brittiska motsvarigheten till Guldbaggegalan, Bafta Awards i London. Flest nomineringar inför galan har Golden Globe-vinnaren och Oscars-favoriten "The artist" plockat åt sig. Hela tolv nomineringar blev det för svartvita franska stumfilmen, bland annat i kategorierna bästa film och bästa manliga respektive kvinnliga skådespelare till Jean Dujardin och Bérénice Bejo.

Tufft motstånd

Tomas Alfredsons film är näst bäst med elva nomineringar. Svensken tävlar i kategorin bästa regissör men det blir inget lätt uppgift för honom. Han ställs bland annat mot Michel Hazanavicius ("The artist"), dansken Nicolas Winding Refn ("Drive") och Golden Globe-vinnaren Martin Scorsese ("Hugo").

Svenskholländaren Hoyte van Hoytema har även han nominerats för sitt arbete med "Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy", i kategorin bästa foto.

Dessutom kan filmens huvudrollsinnehavare Gary Oldman utses till bästa manliga skådespelare. Förutom honom och Dujardin är även George Clooney, Michael Fassbender och Brad Pitt nominerade.

Trippel för Scorsese?

I den kvinnliga motsvarigheten har Meryl Streep vinstchans för sin tolkning av förre brittiska premiärministern Margaret Thatcher i filmen "The iron lady".

Scorsese kan gå hem med tre Bafta-priser. Förutom regipriset kan han vinna dokumentärklassen för sin George Harrison-film och dessutom tilldelas han Baftas tyngsta utmärkelse för sin livslånga gärning för filmen.

Baftagalan leds av komikern och skådespelaren Stephen Fry.
